Church Garden

The previously uncultivated piece of rough ‘agricultural’ land between the church yard and the golf course began development following the Church Extension in 1996. All the work, (apart from the levelling which has done by the contractors) was carried out by the parishioners who formed a Gardening Club, who continue to develop and maintain the Garden which has now developed into a mature garden.

Many permanent features, including several seats, a stone statue, gazebo and numerous trees and shrubs have been given in memory of loved ones.

An illustrated guide describing the various plants will lead you through a Prayer Walk. This is an ideal place for wedding photographs as well as a tranquil area for all to enjoy as it is freely open every day.

The garden is tended every Saturday morning, weather permitting, between 10.00am and noon, by a dedicated group of volunteers.

Any addition to this group would be warmly welcomed

no experience needed, only enthusiasm!
